Secretary of the APG for Sudan, Lord Alton, initiated a debate on the specific issue of security in Darfur on 3rd July, 2009. Specific issues covered included:
- Capacity in the international peace-keeping force
- Displacement in Abyei and Lietnhom
- The role of the African Union, UMIS and the Assessment and Evaluation Commission for Sudan
